This course will:                            

·       Explore what Wellbeing means to you
·       Develop skills in animal handling
·       Explore different ways of improving your Wellbeing while gaining hands on experience from working with horses
·       Develop confidence, skills and resilience to prepare you for your next step into employment, training or education
·       Allow you the opportunity to achieve both SQA Wellbeing level 3 and SQA Animal Handling level 3 qualifications. Please note that all work with the horses will be from the ground. There will not be an opportunity to ride the horses.   Introduction to Wellbeing & goal setting session Wednesday 27 October 10am-12noon venue tbc, then Thursdays 9.30am till 12.30pm for 6 weeks (28 October to 2 December 2021)

Eligibility for the course:   Must live in Midlothian and be a parent to a child under 16 years of age and fit one of the categories below:

·        Lone parent
·        Parent with a disability or health condition
·        Parent with 3+ children
·        Parent from an Ethnic Minority
·        Parent with youngest child is under 1 years old or funded childcare place includes GTTB2
·        Parent aged under 25
