Customer Service Consultants

HMRC are recruiting upto 150 Customer Service Consultants to be based in Edinburgh City Centre.

Working pattern:

Full-time; 37 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 across various patterns between 8.00am-10.00pm

Part-time; minimum 25 hours per week, various patterns between 8.00am-10.00pm, requests accommodated if compatible with business need

The role:

  • First point of contact for HMRC customers (phone, letter, email, webchat)
  • Resolve/signpost customer queries

Person specification:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Dedication to high level service
  • Ability to handle fast-paced conversations
  • Ability to provide quick, clear information
  • Supportive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to do basic calculations
