Business Support Officer


Blackwood currently have a vacancy for a full-time Business Support Officer based in their Head Office in Edinburgh as well as local Blackwood offices across the city. 
Salary: £16540 – £17881
Hours: 35 hours per week
Our Business Support Officer plays an important role by providing high-quality service and support to our customers and Care Services teams. We are looking for candidates with proficient administrative skills to co-ordinate recruitment and induction activities as well as the managing of holidays and sickness for their responsible care service. You will also be expected to assist with the creation of weekly employee rotas and handle incoming telephone calls for the care service team.

Reporting to the Care Services Manager, you will support the business through effective financial administration including invoicing, payroll and first level credit control. As we pride ourselves on delivering personalised care to customers, the Business Support Officer will maintain records and plans to support the achievement of outcomes for all customers and ensure that regulatory requirements and services standards are being met.

The ideal candidate will be:
An experienced administrator with excellent IT Skills, able to learn our care management systems and well-established with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages

A good communicator, with excellent organisation and planning skills

Focussed on excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers and their families, carers, health professionals and commissioners
